The Agency of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Prophet's Holy Mosque today embarked on implementing social distancing procedures, ensuring the commitment of all to wearing masks and meeting all the preventive and precautionary measures at the Prophet's Mosque. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) observed worshippers' commitment to applying all preventive and precautionary measures while flocking to perform the noon prayer at the Prophet's Holy Mosque, which embodies the social awareness in implementing all regulations related to preserving public health and adherence to issued directives that aim at limiting the spread of the COVID-19 virus and its variants. The agency also embarked early on taking all necessary arrangements, which included distributing praying areas inside and outside the Mosque in a way that guarantees social distancing, in addition to intensifying cleaning and sterilizing floors and carpets to enhance the preventive aspect across the Mosque. Field procedures also included assigning field guides to follow up on worshippers' commitment in squares and at the entrances of the Mosques to the preventive and precautionary measures that were issued yesterday, and raising their awareness on the importance of wearing masks and committing to designated places on carpets to ensure social distancing among worshippers before and during prayers, organizing the entry and exit of worshippers smoothly through allocated paths, and providing all services and care that visitors of the Prophet's Holy Mosque need to be able to perform rituals with tranquility. The agency also reiterated the importance of commitment by all to preventive measures and precautionary procedures, such as social distancing among worshippers, wearing masks and avoiding overcrowded areas in a bid to preserve the safety of visitors of the Prophet's Holy Mosque, praising the complementary work in coordination with all security and health public institutions to realize the highest quality standards and implement all procedures to serve worshippers and preserve their safety and the health of the society in general.
