The "Future of Education, Science, and Culture International Organizations Forum (FESCIOF) - was held 8-9 March in Riyadh under the theme "Together for Impact in the 21st Century". This event was organized by the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science (SNC). More than 100 regional and international organizations participated in the forum, the first international event to bring together organizations in the education, culture, and science sectors, and increase collaboration. During the forum, participants discussed the history of education, culture, and science organizations over the past 50 years, and considered ways to enable opportunities that maximize the impact of collaboration. Participants also addressed the cultural, educational, social, and economic challenges of the 21st century, which require new approaches to adapt to the future. Additionally, participants discussed ways to promote cooperation among organizations, invest in initiatives that benefit each country's national organizations, build human competencies and increase available resources. The aim is to optimize and improve spending efficiency in programs that lead to achieving sustainable development goals and keep pace with developments related to the cultural, educational, social, and economic sectors. The announcement affirmed the importance of the forum as an innovative effort to align efforts and maximize positive impact through collaboration. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia took the initiative to host the forum for the next two editions, in 2025 and 2027. The forum will serve as a sustainable platform for exchanging ideas, and creating and planning mutually beneficial partnerships amongst organizations. In 2023, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by SNC, accepted the request of the ALECSO to host the inaugural forum. This decision was driven by Saudi Arabia's belief in the value of collaboration between international organizations in education, culture, and science and its strong cultural legacy rooted in hundreds of years of history. Saudi Arabia is also recognized for its active role in the international community, where it regularly engages on key global issues. To continue the forum's constructive momentum in upcoming years the participating organizations also agreed to continue their collaboration and partnership to meet the aspirations of members of the international organizations. They decided to maintain an open dialogue year-round to exchange ideas and develop projects, that continue to involve various organizations and entities from different sectors to support a positive future for organizations in the fields of education, culture, and science. The participants commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its efforts and readiness to step up its work in the fields of education, culture, and science under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The participants highlighted their gratitude for the efforts made by SNC and ALECSO to organize and host this forum. They also expressed their hopes that these efforts would yield the desired results, and that this agreement would guide future collaboration and partnership among organizations that promote education, culture, and science.
