Two relief planes left King Khalid International Airport this morning headed for Polish Zosov Airport near the Ukrainian borders, carrying 168 tons of assistance provided by the Kingdom for the Ukrainian people. The payload consists of shelter materials, electric generators, and medical supplies, which will be delivered across the Polish border into Ukraine. In coordination with the Polish government and United Nations organizations, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last week signed an agreement and a memorandum of understanding to provide an additional package of humanitarian assistance to Ukraine worth 400 million US dollars. The Kingdom has previously provided urgent medical and relief aid worth 10 million US dollars for refugees fleeing Ukraine to neighboring countries, particularly Poland.
