Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, on an official two-day visit, met today with a number of ministers and senior officials in the Republic of Finland. Al-Hogail toured the Finnish city of Espoo, where he met with members of the city council, which is famous for being an incubator for major Finnish companies, especially in the field of technology. Al-Hogail visited the Ministry of Transport and Communications, where he met with Minister of Transport and Communications Timo Harakka. They exchanged experiences and expertise and discussed the most prominent challenges and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries. He also met with representatives of the Finnish Innovation Fund "SITRA" and the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE). Al-Hogail also visited the Finnish Ministry of Environment, where he met with Vice-Minister of the Environment Terhi Latonen to review the experiences of the two countries in the field of the environment. Al-Hogail met with Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Ville Skinnari, within the framework of developing Saudi-Finnish relations in the field of foreign trade. Finally, he met with Undersecretary of State for international trade Nina Vaskunlahti, during which he stressed the importance of the relations between the two countries.
