King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) "Masam" project to clear Yemeni lands of mines dismantle 882 mines planted by the Houthi militia in various Yemeni regions during the third week of February 2023, including 5 anti-personnel mines, 195 anti-tank mines, 681 unexploded ordnance and one explosive device. The Masam team cleared 36 unexploded ordnance in Aden governorate, 13 unexploded ordnance in Al-Dhale governorate, eight anti-tank mines and 38 unexploded ordnance in Hays district, in Al-Hodeidah governorate, 12 anti-tank mines and 72 unexploded ordnance in Al Khokhah. In Ma'rib, the Masam team cleared 58 unexploded ordnance in the Al-Wadi district, 150 anti-tank mines in the Harib district, and one anti-tank mine in the Raghwan district, while in the Asilan, Shabwa governorate, five anti-personnel mines, and four anti-tank mines were cleared, in addition to one unexploded ordnance and one explosive device. In Taiz, the team dismantled one unexploded ordnance in the Al-Wazi'iyah district, eight anti-tank mines and 82 unexploded ordnance in Al-Mokha, and 12 anti-tank mines and 380 unexploded ordnance in the Dhubab district, bringing the number of mines cleared during February to 3,538. The number of mines removed since the beginning of the Masam project amounts to 388,433; they were randomly planted by the Houthi militia throughout Yemen to claim more innocent victims, including among children, women and the elderly. The Kingdom, represented by the KSrelief, continues the project to clear the Yemeni lands of mines and help Yemeni citizens lead a decent life.
