The Saudi Karate team concluded yesterday its participation in the International Youth Karate League Championship "Youth League", held at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah, the United Arab Emirates, having won nine medals: five gold medals in the junior fighting competition category, two silver and two bronze medals in the youth and Olympic categories. In the junior fighting competition, Saad Al-Saif took the gold medal in the 57 kg category, Abdullah Al-Qahtani won the gold medal in the 70 kg category, Fazaa Al-Sayari won the gold medal in the 70+ kg category, and Mahdi Al-Munajim won the silver medal in the 57 kg category. In the youth fighting competition, Sultan Al-Qahtani won the gold medal in the 61 kg category, Ali Makri won the silver medal in the 68 kg category, and Rayan Al-Atwi won the bronze medal in the 55 kg category. In the Olympic fighting competition, Sanad Sufyani won the gold medal in the 84+ kg category, and Abdullah Al-Salem won the bronze medal in the 68+ kg category. President of the Saudi Karate Federation Dr. Musharraf Al-Shehri congratulated the Kingdom's leadership and the minister of sports for lending continuous support to the sports sector.
