The Secretariat General of the Senior Scholars Council has strongly condemned tearing a copy of the Holy Quran by an extremist in The Hague, the Netherlands. The General Secretariat said: "This abhorrent act is condemned and an insult to all Muslims," calling on the whole world to condemn these repeated acts, and enact regulations and legislation that criminalize them to achieve peace, tolerance, and coexistence.
