Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah M. Al-Hajraf highlighted the importance of developing relations and partnership between the Council and the European Union (EU) at strategic and political levels to realize joint interests. This came during the secretary general's meeting today at the headquarters of the general secretariat in Riyadh with Ambassador of the EU to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Patrick Simonnet. During the meeting, several issues were addressed, most notably discussing the relations between the GCC and the EU, and means to advance cooperation among the two sides to achieve joint interests. They also reviewed the latest developments at the regional and international levels.
