A delegation paid visit today to King Salman Medical and Educational City project in Al-Mahrah Governorate, Yemen, during which it was briefed on the progress of the city construction project, which comes as part of the continuous support being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Yemen in various sectors. The delegation included Yemeni Minister of Public Works and Highways Eng. Salim Al-Harizi, Director of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SDRPY) in Al-Mahrah Governorate Eng. Eng. Abdullah Basulaiman, and a number of officials. The project is considered as one of Yemen's major initiatives serving the health and education sectors. It consists of the building of a 110-bed integrated teaching hospital. The area of King Salman Medical and Educational City in Al-Mahrah Governorate is one million square meters, in order to cover the needs of Al-Mahrah Governorate for health sector projects as well as the need for the neighboring governorates. The SDRPY pays attention to the health sector in Yemen, as it provided support for this important sector through 31 development projects and initiatives. The SDRPY also provided support to 17 medical centers by providing them with medical equipment and devices.
