The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) supports Hadramout Governorate in Yemen, through vital development projects in the health, education, water and energy sectors, in addition to environmental sanitation. In a statement, Eng. Abdullah Basulaiman, Director of the SDRPY in the Governorate of Hadramout, said that the program supports the education sector in the province by establishing two new schools in Mukalla and Sayoun, in addition to working on manufacturing 100 fishing boats with their modern engines that will be distributed to the people of the governorate. Regarding health sector, the SDRPY launched a campaign to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, in cooperation with the Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population and the Cleaning and Improvement Fund, benefitting more than 1,000,000 individuals, which took place over 30 working days, with the participation of 150 sprayers, 50 vehicles, and 50 spray pumps in 12 districts. The SDRPY supported the health sector in the governorate by providing 5 ambulances to five hospitals in the governorate, including Hajar Directorate Hospital, Mukalla Directorate Hospital, Directorate of Transit Hospital, Thamud Directorate Hospital, and Sayun Directorate Hospital. The SDRPY provided water sector by affording transporting tanks, to meet needs of the people in Sayyun. The energy sector in the governorate received the support of the Saudi program for the development and reconstruction of Yemen by providing 30 thousand tons of oil derivatives to Mukalla port. It contributed to operating power stations in the governorate around the clock, which included 30000 tons of diesel. The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen - recently laid the foundation stone for a project to build a model school that includes 9 classes in the city of Sayun in order to provide high quality education opportunities for 330 students. In the field of air safety and in support of Sayun International Airport, the Program has provided everything necessary for the success of air safety plans, by providing an ambulance equipped with all medical and emergency equipment.
