Mawasem pavilion, during its participation in the Conference and Exhibition for Hajj and Umrah Services 2023 (Hajj Expo 2023), currently being held in Jeddah, shed light on the latest plans in Umrah travel, recording a growth in international Umrah trips, mainly from Egypt, Algeria, India, Türkiye, Malaysia, Iraq, Jordan, Indonesia and Pakistan. The pavilion revealed receiving around 31,000 Umrah performers from 43 countries through 214 agents, registering a growth in the last two quarters of 2022, in addition to offering Umrah services from across the world. The number of visitors to the holy cities reached some 81,730 hotel nights at 114 hotels, where the pavilion showed that this growth in Umrah trips was the result of launching the tourist visa that allows visitors to start performing Umrah.
