Advisor at the Royal Court: Saudi Arabia Becomes Partner in Int'l Humanitarian Action Industry

Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief) Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah confirmed that the United Nations' selection of Riyadh to launch the overview of global humanitarian action for 2023 confirms that it is the capital of humanity and reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's pioneering humanitarian role, and that it has become a partner in the industry of humanitarian action at the international level.
This came during the press conference that Dr. Al-Rabeeah held here today with the Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator, following the launch of the overview of global humanitarian action for 2023 in Riyadh.
Dr. Al-Rabeeah said: "During 2021, the Kingdom achieved the third rank in the world in the provision of humanitarian aid, and during this year it presides over the group of donor countries, in addition to that it will organize next year the Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum, indicating that this is a reflection of the prestigious international position it enjoys. The Kingdom has it in the humanitarian field, not only in the amount of giving, but even in the strategic planning of international humanitarian action."
He also explained that one of the solutions put forward by the Kingdom in this glimpse to mitigate humanitarian crises is that the assessment of humanitarian need is based on professional scientific foundations, stressing the role of research work and humanitarian initiatives in increasing the impact of humanitarian aid, stressing the importance of facilitating the arrival of aid to those who deserve it, and imposing sanctions on Whoever hinders her access.
He alsp invited businessmen and philanthropists to be proactive in the humanitarian partnership with the Kingdom, represented by KSrelief.
For her part, the Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and the Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator extended her thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing that the Kingdom is one of the ten countries that donate the most in humanitarian work, stressing the continuation of efforts in developing the humanitarian system to be more effective and innovative so that we can reduce the growing humanitarian crises.
