The High Level Strategic Humanitarian Roundtable Meeting on Humanitarian Partnerships and the Mass Mobilization of the Syrian Crisis was held here today at King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), in the presence of Advisor-Royal Court, KSrelief Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs Ahmed Al-Bayez, and Director of Community Support Department at KSrelief Abdullah Al-Ruwaili. The roundtable meeting was also attended by a number of senior officials from international humanitarian and relief organizations. At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Al-Rabeeah welcomed the attendance, stressing the activation of the relief work in Syria in coordination with the KSrelief and various partners and regional and international humanitarian organizations, expressing his hope that the meeting would be successful in the interest of the Syrian people. He stressed the importance of coordination between the working parties and the role of the United Nations to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid. UN Assistant Secretary General and Regional Humanitarian Coordinator for the Syria Crisis Panos Moumtzis expressed his sincere thanks to and appreciation of the KSrelief for hosting the meeting, expressing his pride in the support provided by it. He pointed out to the accelerated situations in Syria, hoping that the joint cooperation between international organizations will continue to face the difficult humanitarian crises experienced by the Syrian people.
