The Shura Council held today its 11th ordinary session, presided over by its Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh. During the meeting, the Shura Council discussed a number of reports presented by the Health Committee; the Trade and Investment Committee; the Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee; the Hajj, Housing and Services Committee; the Financial and Economic Committee; the Human Resources and Social Development Committee; the Education and Scientific Research Committee; and the Water, Agriculture and Environment Committee. The Shura Council approved a draft memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialised Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It also approved a draft memorandum of understanding between the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research of the State of Kuwait in the field of water desalination. The Shura Council also discussed a number of issues on its agenda.
