King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched yesterday a project to distribute clothing and necessary supplies to displaced families in the Shabelle region in Somalia, in the presence of Ali Hassan Issa, the Deputy Governor of Shabelle Region, KSrelief Director in Africa Youssef bin Bakheet Rahma, and senior officials. Under the project, 4,000 pieces of clothes were distributed to the displaced in the Shabelle region, benefiting 24,000 individuals. The Deputy Governor of Shabelle, Ali Hassan Issa, thanked Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, HRH the Crown Prince, the people of the Kingdom, and KSrelief for the humanitarian assistance provided to the local citizens of the region. This humanitarian assistance comes as part of the second phase of the Kingdom's urgent intervention to contribute to covering the humanitarian needs of those affected by drought in Somalia, to support food and nutrition programs for children, water and shelter for the displaced, and life-saving emergency programs.
