King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) inaugurated the distribution of meat of 2,000 sacrifice animals in the Federal Republic of Somalia and Somaliland, targeting 48,000 people, as part of a project to distribute sacrificial meat for the blessed Eid al-Adha for the year 1443 Hijri (2022). During the first day of the feast, the meat of 1,350 sacrifice animals were distributed, of which 350 in the capital Mogadishu, 800 in Baidoa governorate in the South West State, and 200 in Hargeisa, benefiting 32,000 people. KSrelief Director in Africa Youssef bin Bakheet Rahma explained that this project comes within the relief and humanitarian programs and projects of the Center to alleviate the suffering of the people in Somalia and Somaliland, and to bring joy and happiness to their hearts on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha, where the total number of the sacrifice animals distributed during the days of Eid reached 2,000 ones to benefit 48,000 people in need, the displaced and those affected by drought in most of the Somali regions. This comes within the framework of the continuous efforts of the Kingdom, represented by the Center, to provide humanitarian and relief assistance to fraternal and friendly countries and peoples in various circumstances and times.
