Islamic Development Bank signs agreement

The Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank (IDB), signed here today a $ 60 million agreement with Bangladesh to finance the set up of a project of International Communication System of marine cables across the Indian Ocean.
The 1260 km long Cable system in Bangladesh's part will link south- east Asia, the Middle East and Western Europe.
The agreement was signed by Mohamed Nour Alislam, Chairman of Bangladesh's Board of Directors of Telephone and Telegraph Commission and Dr. Amado Bu baker Cesi, IDB's Vice President for Operations.
