Renewing Full Membership of Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation at Advanced Air Training Program
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 29 - 09 - 2022

The Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation (SACA) has realized two international achievements after the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has renewed its full membership at the advanced air training program (TRAINAIR Plus) and was also accredited as an internationally accredited aviation safety training center.
President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Abdulaziz Al-Duailej received the two certificates for renewing the membership and the accreditation on the sidelines of the 41st Session of ICAO's General Assembly that is being hosted by Montreal between September 27 and October 7.
Al-Duailej stressed that this achievement reflects the qualitative development in aviation sciences training in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and highlights the academy's important and supportive role for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's strategy in the civil aviation, noting that realizing such achievements enhances endeavors towards accomplishing these strategic goals that were set by the authority. He noted that renewing the full membership of the academy at the advanced air training program and becoming an internationally accredited center reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's interest and distinguished weight in the civil aviation world and represents a new international accreditation in the professional work of the academy and its outcomes that consider international systems and standards, noting that the academy tool the lead in training in various specializations and in localizing the aviation industry and increasing the level of operational efficiency and the level of safety in the aviation sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He also called for maintaining the same plans that support training development, expressing hope for the academy to continue its influential role to become an excellent center in leading the aviation sciences in the region.
For his part, President of SACA Abdulmohsen Gushgari described renewing the membership and the accreditation as two achievements, where ICAO was fair in granting these accomplishments and as a fruit for efforts exerted in accrediting international standards for training in the aviation sector, especially that they were realized after the academy has completed meeting all international conditions and standards. He also pointed out that the achievements will grant the academy a priority for organizing specialized international courses at ICAO, enable it to exchange training portfolios with member states, and ensure the conformity of the academy's curricula with international peers to exchange expertise and benefit from experts of the ICAO, in addition to improving the safety and efficiency of air transport through developing training and increasing the efficiency of employees in the aviation sector.
