In a limited reshuffle of his cabinet, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz relieved four ministers of their posts, with two of them replacing each other and two departing. According to a royal order, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Alrasheed lost his post as Minister of Education and was replaced by Dr. Abdullah bin Salih Obeid; and Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Alnamlah, was also relieved of his post as Minister of Social Affairs and was replaced by Dr. Abdulmohsin bin Abdulaziz Al-Akkas. Meanwhile, Dr. Fu'ad bin Abdulsalam Alfarsi, the Minister of Culture and Information, and Iyad bin Ameen Madani, the Minster of Hajj, exchanged their posts according to the royal order. The order relieved each of them of his post and appointed him to assume another ministerial portfolio.
