Saudi Arabia's Buraidah exports date products to more than 74 countries around the world. This boosts the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's exports of dates, which amounted to SAR 1.215 billion in 2021, with an increase of 31% compared to 2020. Al-Qassim region produces more than 300,000 tons of dates annually. Local farmers aim to increase production and contribute to achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030 through boosting non-oil revenues. Buraidah Date Festival – organized by the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Al-Qassim – is considered the biggest marketing hubs in the world, where more than 1,000 vehicles loaded with tons of dates arrive at the venue and are received by consumers and investors, where plenty of dates are sent to the 15,000-square-meter export yard for packing and export to cities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and outside to Gulf and Arab countries and the two Americas, Europe and East Asia.
