Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arena. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made great progress in attracting investments and strengthening its position on the global map as a preferred destination for capital and technologies and an inspiring model for the future economy. In this regard, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) has announced the National Aspirations and Priorities for RDI for the next two decades, the paper said. These aspirations and priorities are: Health and Wellness; Sustainable Environment and Supply of Essential Needs; Energy and Industrial Leadership; and Economies of the Future, the paper further said. These will enhance the Kingdom's global competitiveness and leadership, in line with the directions of Saudi Vision 2030, and strengthen the Kingdom's position as the largest economy in the region the paper added. This ambition which resulted in major achievements and projects in all sectors is based on the National Investment Strategy, which is one of the main possibilities to achieve the goals of the National Vision 2030, the paper further added . HRH the Crown Prince emphasized that the new investment phase is based on our success in increasing the number and quality of opportunities for Saudi and global investors, transferring and localizing technology, improving the quality of life, providing job opportunities, developing the skills of our human resources and enhancing their capabilities, the paper concluded. In another context, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that for decades, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has paid great attention to the Hajj and Umrah sector. Such great efforts being exerted by Saudi Arabia in serving Islam and Muslims have been recognized by the world and the international organizations, the paper said. In this regard, Saudi Arabia has made Umrah performing possible for holders of all types of visas and those coming from all countries of the world for the purpose of tourism and visits to perform Umrah during their stay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to those coming to the Kingdom who obtained visas from the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Schengen, the paper added. The paper concluded that this keenness would enrich the cultural and religious experience of Umrah performers , in accordance with the goals of the programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 which seeks to achieve unique economic advantages and create jobs for youths of the Home.
