Saudi Press: Saudi-US Relationships Built on Mutual Respect, Mutual Interests, Coordination
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 05 - 11 - 2020

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Saudi-US relations are historical and strategic, distinguished by close cooperation and common interests and focus on serving the interests of the region and the world.
The Saudi-US relations are built on respect, mutual cooperation and common interests, as they are currently at their highest levels, officials in the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
These relations are strategic and historical dating back more than eight decades, and built on mutual respect, mutual interests, coordination and continuous consultation on regional and international crises, the newspaper added.
The paper further added that the continuous coordination between the two countries is momentous to address the threats posed by the destabilizing Iranian activity in the region.
The newspaper concluded that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the largest stable economy in the Middle East, as it is distinguished by its active membership in the G20. The two countries are keen to push the wheel of the economy and launch it to broader horizons in line with the ambitious vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030.
In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Saudi wise leadership decision to gradually return to Umrah in four stages with implementing precautionary and preventive measures during the novel Coronavirus pandemic, affirmed Saudi Arabia's ability to deal with crises and face challenges with the required speed in line with its principles and values, taking into account the public interest in order to reach the best results.
The newspaper added that Saudi Arabia's dealing with the implications of the pandemic, enabled it to curtail its outbreak and pave the way to respond to the aspirations of many Muslims to perform Hajj and Umrah and visit the Two Holy Mosques according to procedures and arrangements that preserve their safety, which was achieved in the last Hajj season 2020. The first batch of Umrah performers coming from outside the Kingdom as part of the third phase of gradual resumption also arrived in the Grand Mosque, while taking the necessary health precautions, amid great support from Saudi Arabia's government.
This full care embodies the constant keenness to harness all potentials and energies, enabling pilgrims from outside Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah rituals in an atmosphere of faith and a precautionary environment that takes into account health requirements to provides the utmost safety for Umrah performers and preserves their health and safety, which was confirmed by the Cabinet, the newspaper concluded.
