President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, who is also Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic-Paralympics Committee arrived in Konya, Türkiye, to attend the inauguration and events of the fifth Islamic Solidarity Games (Konya 2022) which will be officially inaugurated on Tuesday with the participation of 54 Islamic countries and will run till August 18. Prince Al-Faisal will head the meetings of the executive office and general assembly of the Islamic federation, which, the two entities, will hold on Sunday and Monday meetings to discuss the financial and administrative report for the federation and the preparations of Konya to host the tournament and to discuss the host country of the next tournament in 2025. The prince was accompanied by head of the Saudi mission Prince Fahd bin Jalwi bin Abdulaiziz bin Musaed, deputy president of the Saudi Olympic-Paralympics Committee, and deputy head of the Saudi mission Adwa Al-Oreifi. The princes were received by Saudi charge d'affaires at the Saudi Embassy in Türkiye Mohammed Al-Harbi, Konya Governor Vahdettin Özkan and Konya Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay. More than 130 players will represent the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various games.
