A total of 9,694 pilgrims of several nationalities arrived in Madinah yesterday, bringing the total number of pilgrims who arrived in the holy city after Hajj to 261,857 pilgrims. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's figures on the movement of pilgrims arriving and departing Madinah showed that the Immigration Center in Madinah has received 249417 pilgrims, who came by buses after performing the Hajj rituals and more than 8,156 made their way overland to the Land Pilgrim Reception Center, and nearly 4,166 traveled on Haramain high-speed railway. Ministry's figures also showed that 11,055 of pilgrims left Madinah yesterday for their respective countries, bringing the total number of pilgrims who have left the Kingdom to 180,755 pilgrims, while more than 81,102 remained in the holy city. The Ministry's agency concerned with Hajj and Umrah for Visiting Affairs has carried out 925 field visits during this year's Hajj season to evaluate the pilgrims' residences in Madinah, while the total cases of grouping (Tafweej) that have been conducted amounted to 2558 since the beginning of the season, and the number of pilgrims who received services from the agency stood at around 1147 pilgrims, in addition to carrying out 54 visits to inspect the health conditions of hospitalized pilgrims in Madinah hospitals during the pre-Hajj season, as well as executing 399 field visits to assess the performance of service providers for pilgrims in various service aspects.
