The Health Ministry spokesman, Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdali, confirmed the completion of the ministry's readiness in all the Hajj sites, which includes preparing more than 25,000 health staff to provide health services to all pilgrims in Makkah, Madinah, and the holy sites through 23 hospitals that include 4,654 inpatient beds, including 1,080 beds in intensive care units, as well as 238 beds allocated for cases of (sunstroke), in addition to providing many ambulance services through 175 ambulances, including fully-serviced vehicles in an advanced manner. The minister also allocated a network of centers inside and outside the holy sites, with 147 health centers, and 16 emergency health centers at Jamarat Bridge, in addition to the Virtual Health Hospital, which provides six virtual services to beneficiaries. Al-Abdali said during the daily press conference for this year's Hajj season, which was held today in Makkah, with the participation of the security spokesman at the Ministry of Interior, Colonel Talal Al-Shalhoub, and the official spokesman for the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Eng. Hesham Saeed, "The health status of the pilgrims is reassuring, and no outbreaks of diseases affecting public health have been recorded among them. The health sectors have so far received more than 53,000 visitors to health facilities, while the number of services provided by virtual health has reached 1,736. For his part, Colonel Talal Al-Shalhoub, announced the completion of the implementation of the first phase of the plan to transport the pilgrims to the Holy Sites in safety, ease, and tranquility, to spend the eighth day of Dhul-Hijjah, the "Day of Tarwiyah" in Mina, in preparation for setting out from there after the dawn prayer on Friday, the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah to stand at Arafat, and the direct ascending operations began from Makkah to Arafat to transport pilgrims who choose to stay overnight in Arafat on the night of the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah, as these operations are still ongoing. The Hajj Ministry spokesman, Eng. Hesham Saeed noted that the ministry has completed all preparations to serve the pilgrims with the best and highest standards and levels of quality, adding that the ministry utilized the whole holy sites premises to serve one million pilgrims coming from outside and inside the Kingdom, allocating an area equivalent to 2.5 square meters for each pilgrim to enjoy services at the highest level, in addition to the processing of more than 17,000 buses prepared and licensed by the competent authority to carry out continuous transportation and grouping operations throughout the stay in the holy sites.
