A final joint statement was issued for the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Following is the text of the statement: His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan received his brother His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, who paid an official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan upon an official invitation by His Majesty. His Majesty and HRH the Crown Prince, in the presence of Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, held an official discussion session in an atmosphere of amicability and brotherhood that embodies the close and historical relations between the two kingdoms, during which the two sides reviewed cooperation aspects between the two brotherly countries in all fields and discussed means to enhance them in a way that realizes their joint interests. The two sides, during the talks that were attended by senior officials from the two brotherly kingdoms, praised existing efforts to realize joint economic interests upon directives and support from the two countries' leaderships. They also highlighted the importance of joint action to increase the level of economic and investment cooperation. The two sides stressed the importance of following up on the implementation of the 17th Meeting of the Joint Saudi-Jordanian Committee and emanating agreements, which contributed to expanding and boosting cooperation aspects in several fields. Moreover, they discussed economic, commercial and investment relations and means to enhance them, going over cooperation prospects in the transport and logistics services sector. Both sides also stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation in the investment field and diversifying investments, including in the fields of mining sectors, infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, culture, healthcare, and ICT, in addition to creating more job opportunities in a way that contributes to boosting economic growth in the two countries and serves their joint interests. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomed Jordan's launch of the Economic Modernization Vision for the next 10 years and cooperation opportunities that can be utilized through this vision. Jordan expressed appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for what it offers of support to development projects in various sectors, mainly transport and energy, and the role played by Saudi investments in expanding various sectors in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. In the energy field, the two sides highlighted the importance of continuing cooperation in the electric connection between the two countries and enhancing cooperation in the fields of energy efficiency, innovation, and emerging technologies, such as the artificial intelligence in the energy sector and developing clean technologies to use hydrocarbon resources in various applications in the industrial and construction fields. As for environment and climate change, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan welcomed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's launch of the Saudi Green and Middle East Green initiatives, expressing its support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts in the climate change field. Both sides also expressed aspiration in enhancing cooperation in the fields of clean energy and carbon capture, storage and utilization, as well as building up expertise in this field. They also praised the projects and investments of Saudi companies in the renewable energy sector in Jordan, reiterating the significance of exchanging expertise in the field of developing renewable energy projects and technologies. The two sides welcomed expanding cooperation means in the fields of hydrogen, technology development and exchanging expertise to apply the best practices in hydrogen projects. They also affirmed the importance of sustaining cooperation in the field of peaceful uses for nuclear energy and boosting collaboration in the fields of nuclear and radioactive control in the two countries. Both sides expressed their aspiration to further boost cooperation in the fields of food security, health, education and promoting the exploration of new opportunities, especially in combating epidemics and global pandemics and investments in the health and digital health sectors, among other health fields. They also stressed the significance of increasing the pace of collaboration between the two countries in the fields of culture, tourism, sports, youth and exchanging participations and developing them to explore what both countries enjoy of resources and capacities in a way that can realize development and welfare for the two brotherly countries and peoples. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also praised the support of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for Riyadh's bid to host Expo 2030. The two sides also reviewed regional and international issued of mutual interest, mainly the Palestinian cause, where both sides reiterated the significance of launching a serious and effective international efforts to create real political grounds to solve the Palestinian issue according to the two-state solution that results in an independent, sovereign Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 lines with East Al-Quds as its capital, according to international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab peace initiative. In this regard, they stressed that the two-state solution is the only means to realize a fair and comprehensive peace that constitutes an Arab strategic option and a necessity to realize regional and international security and stability. They also reiterated the importance for Israel to halt all illegal procedures that undermine the two-state solution and opportunities to realize the just peace. Both sides also affirmed the significance for Israel to respect the historical and legal status quo in Al-Quds and its Islamic and Christian holy sites, and to respect the role of Al-Quds Awqaf and Aqsa Affairs Department affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in its capacity as the sole authority to manage the affairs of Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Qudsi Al-Sharif, which, with its entire area, represents a place of worship for Muslims only. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stressed the importance of the historical Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Al-Quds in protecting holy sites and maintaining their Islamic and Christian Arab identity. Regarding Yemen, both sides renewed their full support to UN and regional efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive political solution to the crisis in Yemen according to the GCC Initiative and its executive mechanisms, the outcomes of the Yemeni National Dialogue Conference, and UN Security Council Resolution No. 2216. They also stressed the importance of condemning the terrorist actions, practices and attacks perpetrated by the Houthi militia through targeting civil objects and vital facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their threat to international navigation routes and undermining of endeavors exerted to reach a political solution. The two sides also reaffirmed the integrated security of the two kingdoms, where the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan stressed its full support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all procedures it takes to protect its security, stability and interests. Both sides also voiced support to the Presidential Leadership Council, and supporting entities, to enable it perform its tasks to realize security and stability in Yemen and end the Yemeni crisis. The two sides called on the international community to pressure Houthis to abide by the truce, cooperate with the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, and deal seriously with peace initiatives and efforts. As for Syria, both sides reiterated the significance of intensifying efforts to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis in a way that preserves the unity of the country and its territories, restores security and stability, liberates the country from terrorism, and provides necessary circumstances for the voluntary return of refugees. They also stressed support to the efforts of the UN and its special envoy, reiterating the importance of halting interventions and projects that threaten the identity, unity and sovereignty of Syria. The two sides stressed their solidarity with the brotherly Syrian people and the importance for the international community to offer support for refugees and host countries, reaffirming that the refuge burden is an international responsibility rather than a responsibility of host countries alone. The Saudi side commended the big humanitarian role of Jordan in hosting around 1.3 million Syrian brothers. On Iraq, the two sides stressed the centrality of the security and stability of Iraq as a pillar for the security and stability of the entire region, stressing their solidarity with Iraq in its efforts exerted to realize security and stability, counter-terrorism, reconstructions and achieve a better future for the brotherly Iraqi people, voicing hope for Iraqi parties to reach a formula to form an Iraqi government under a collective political process that meets the aspirations of all components of the brotherly Iraqi people. As for Lebanon, the two sides highlighted the importance of preserving security and stability, supporting Lebanon and its brotherly people, helping it face challenges, implementing comprehensive reforms necessary for Lebanon to overcome its current crisis, and limiting weapons to legitimate state institutions, and Hezbollah's commitment to refrain from interfering in the domestic affairs of Arab countries and stop all practices that threaten our security. Regarding the Iranian nuclear issue, the two sides agreed on the importance of supporting international efforts aiming at preventing Iran from owning nuclear weapons, ensuring the peaceful purposes of the Iranian nuclear program, enhancing the role of the International Atomic Energy Agency, preserving the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, creating a Middle East free of nuclear weapons and all weapons of mass destruction, supporting Arab efforts to urge Iran commit to refraining from interfering with the affairs of Arab states, maintaining the principles of good neighborliness, and sparing the region all destabilizing activities. Both sides also reaffirmed the significance of doubling efforts to face extremism and terrorism with all their shapes and forms, in addition to combating its intellectual roots and halting all means of its finance, and spreading the values of religious, cultural and civil moderation. The two sides also stressed going on with coordination, consultation and cooperation regarding political and security developments in the regional and international arenas in a way that contributes to realizing security, stability and prosperity for the two brotherly kingdoms and peoples and the peoples of the region and the entire world.
