King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) handed over today a PCR device and its accessories to the National Center for Central Public Health Laboratories in Seiyun District in Hadramout Governorate, in cooperation with the World Health Organization and the Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population. Undersecretary of Hadramout Governorate for the Affairs of Al-Wadi and Al-Sahra Districts Issam Al-Kathiri expressed his appreciation for KSrelief's continuous support to the Yemeni health sector. For his part, Director of the National Center for Central Public Health Laboratories in Seiyun Dr. Nabil Ba-Abbad noted that the offered device has a great importance and forms a qualitative leap in the work of the center, especially in analyzing several diseases and epidemics, pointing out that the center is currently seeking to introduce the "Yemen soft" system to serve patients through dealing with patients electronically in the center that will be connected to all lab sections, and is considered the first program at the service level to facilitate test procedures and saving results in special files for each patient. He also noted that the few coming days will witness the development of the food and water laboratory through introducing new appliances for all food and water tests. This is part of constant support offered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to develop the performance of the Yemeni health sector and improve the level of its services in a way that benefits patients and injured people.
