The first of batch of the pilgrims who benefited from the "Makkah Route Initiative" arrived at King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, coming from the Kingdom of Malaysia, through the initiative lounge at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, where they were received by representatives of the relevant agencies. The launch of the Makkah Route Initiative in the Kingdom of Malaysia this year 1443 AH, in addition to Indonesia, Pakistan, Morocco and Bangladesh, comes as a continuation of the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in facilitating Hajj to the pilgrims and visitors to the holy sites, and the keenness of the wise leadership to take care of them. The Makkah Route Initiative, one of the initiatives of the Ministry of Interior within the program to serve the pilgrims, one of the programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, aims to finalize the procedures for the pilgrims from their countries, starting with issuing the visa electronically and taking the prints, to completion of passport procedures at the airport of the country of departure after verifying the availability of health requirements, in addition to coding and sorting luggage according to transportation and housing arrangements in the Kingdom, and upon their arrival, they move directly to buses to take them to their places of residence in Makkah and Madinah, with designated paths, while the service agencies deliver their luggage to their places of residence.
