Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Mishal bin Fahm Al-Sulami, received today at the council's headquarters in Riyadh, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev, who is on an official visit to the Kingdom. Dr. Al-Sulami highlighted the visit, which comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations in various fields and serving the interests of the two countries in a way that contributes to strengthening and developing these ties, stressing the importance of exchanging mutual parliamentary visits between the Shura Council and the Kyrgyz Parliament, citing the Saudi-Kyrgyz Parliamentary Friendship Committee's visit to Kyrgyzstan last May and the constructive results achieved. The Deputy Speaker touched on the Kingdom's active efforts and initiatives to enhance security and stability and support peace in the region and the world, stressing the Kingdom's continued support for Islamic countries and standing up for their just causes. He also briefed the delegation on the Kingdom's Vision 2030, its objectives, the comprehensive development renaissance witnessed by the Kingdom, the initiatives and programs announced by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense, and the opportunities it provides for other countries to participate in. Kulubaev underscored the strong relations between the Kingdom and Kyrgyzstan, which is marking this year the 30th anniversary of its independence, as well as 30 years of relations and strong ties between the two countries and peoples. The Foreign Minister reiterated his government's keenness to boost and develop ties with Saudi Arabia in all fields, stressing the support of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Kingdom for hosting the Expo 2030. During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest at the parliamentary level between the Shura Council and the Kyrgyz Parliament, and opportunities to deepen parliamentary cooperation between the Saudi-Kyrgyz Parliamentary Friendship Committee.
