Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salami met here today with Chairman of the Culture, Education and Communication Committee of the French Senate Laurent Lafon and President of the French-GCC Friendship Group Olivier Cadic, in the presence of Shura Council Assistant Speaker Dr. Hanan Al-Ahmadi, as part of the official visit of the delegates to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Al-Salami stressed the deep relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and France in all political, economic, cultural and educational fields, affirming that these relations and mutual bilateral visits between the two sides have further enhancing the level of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. The meeting addressed various topics and issues of mutual concern to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and France in various fields, mainly at the educational and cultural levels, where both sides reviewed means to enhance cooperation between the Education and Scientific Research Committees at the Shura Council and the French Senate Committee on Culture, Education and Communication, in a way that supports cooperation aspects between the two countries. The two sides also went over opportunities to further enhance parliamentary cooperation between the parliamentary friendship committees at the Shura Council and French Senate.
