Spain's King Juan Carlos made a secretive private trip to Austria over the weekend to go hunting, Austrian television reported Monday. Juan Carlos' trip, which was not announced Sunday because of security reasons, was confined to the game-rich forests of the eastern province of Burgenland, where the monarch and his entourage spent the day hunting in the snow. The king flew to Austria in a private plane to the city of Graz, and from there in a convoy to the woods, the TV report said. It said his bodyguards were seen in the area. There were no details on what he was hunting or whether he bagged any trophies. Juan Carlos is an avid hunter who frequently travels outside Spain in pursuit of game. In October, he bagged five bears and two wild boar while on a hunting trip in Romania's Transylvania region.
