The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a security checkpoint in northern Sinai, Egypt, on Wednesday, 11 May, 2022, which claimed the lives and injured a number of soldiers. The General Secretariat expressed deepest condolences to the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the families of the victims and the Egyptian people, wishing a speedy recovery for those injured. The OIC reiterated solidarity with the Arab Republic of Egypt and its support for the Egyptian government's measures taken to protect its security and stability and eliminate terrorism and extremism.
