The State of Kuwait has welcomed the announcement of Yemeni President Abd-Rabbo Mansour Hadi to form a Presidential Leadership Council to proceed with the duties of the transitional period, and delegating the council with all powers of the president of the republic according to the constitution and the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanisms. In a statement issued today, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry expressed the State of Kuwait's full support to the council and assisting entities' efforts to achieve stability, peace, and security for Yemen and its people.
