In Amman, the Jordanian government welcomed the announcement by the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen, that a two-month truce was reached and the cessation of all military operations in Yemen. The official spokesman for the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Haitham Abu Al-Ful, stated that Jordan supports the efforts and endeavors of the United Nations to resolve the Yemeni crisis, stressing the need to reach a political solution based on the approved references represented in the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the comprehensive Yemeni national dialogue, and Security Council Resolution No. 2216, in a manner that guarantees Yemen's unity, stability, territorial integrity and the aspirations of its people. In Djibouti, the Government of the Republic of Djibouti welcomed the announcement of the Yemeni government to accept the truce declared under the auspices of the United Nations, which comes in the context of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's initiative to end the Yemeni crisis to reach a comprehensive political solution announced in March 2021 by the GCC Secretary General. Djibouti emphasizes that it always urges the Yemeni parties to resort to dialogue and understanding as a secure and sound solution to save the Yemeni people.
