The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Angola, Téte Antonio announced his country's support for the request of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to host the Expo 2030. In a press conference held here following the meeting of the Advisor at the Saudi Royal Court Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan with President Joao Lourenço of the Republic of Angola, the Minister Téte Antonio said that his country supports the Kingdom's request to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh, stressing that this decision embodies the strength of bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Angola. He pointed out that one of the most important signs of the growth of relations between the two countries is the opening of a diplomatic mission of the Republic of Angola in the Kingdom and the imminent opening of the Kingdom's embassy in his country, describing this step as positive to strengthen relations between the two countries in all fields. He further said, "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's role to host the Expo 2030 is one of the tributaries that reflect the importance of the economic aspect, and that what the Kingdom is doing towards the entire African continent reflects the depth of this historical relationship, and for this reason Angola expressed its support for the Kingdom's candidacy to host the World Expo 2030", stressing that this support is the culmination of the positive relations between the two countries. For his part, the Advisor at the Saudi Royal Court Ahmed Qattan expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's thanks and appreciation to the Republic of Angola' support, which reflects the strong relations between the two countries.
