Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, African Integration and Guineans Abroad Dr. Morissanda Kouyaté announced his country's support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's bid to host World Expo 2030. In a statement to the media, following a meeting between Advisor at the Royal Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Qattan and Transitional President of Guinea Mamady Doumbouya, Kouyaté said that his country supports the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's bid to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh, stressing that this decision reflects the strong bilateral decade-long relations between the two countries and highlights Doumbouya's directives to support Saudi Arabia's bid to host Expo 2030. For his part, Qattan expressed the appreciation and gratitude of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this support that stems from the historical and close ties between the two countries.
