A U.S.-registered light aircraft with four people onboard was reported missing in South Africa when it failed to reach its destination, civil aviation officials confirmed Wednesday. The aircraft, an Aerostar, took off from the Wonderboom airport Tuesday for the hour-long flight to Harrismith in the Free State Province, the Sapa news agency said. One of the passengers called a relative from a mobile phone shortly before the aircraft was due to land to make an arrangement that the group be collected at the airport on arrival, Sapa said quoting Civil Aviation Authority spokesman Moses Seate.
