King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) today signed an agreement to dig 241 surface wells in the Republic of Niger, which are expected to benefit 628,832 individuals. KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Beez signed the agreement at the center's headquarters in Riyadh. Dr. Abdullah Al-Muallem, Director of KSrelief's Health and Environmental Aid Department, noted that we today signed a contract to help Niger dig 241 surface wells with manual pumps with a depth of 20-30 meters as part of an initiative to serve residents through providing safe and drinkable water resources that are also fit for personal use to stop diseases resulting from polluted drinking water, and dig 241 water basins for livestock, work on the stability of residents and limit migration, increase agricultural crops, in addition to providing water bodies for the irrigation of livestock and plants, which would boost the economic development in Niger. This agreement is part of efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to support all vital sectors in needy countries.
