The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have underscored the importance of enhancing the march of the GCC and integration among its member states. The joint communiqué issued here today at the end of the visit of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, to the UAE, expressed satisfaction over the existing cooperation between the security authorities in the two countries and their effective role in combating terrorism and enhancing the pillars of security and stability. The joint communiqué underlined the importance of boosting the march of the GCC and integration among its member states in the various spheres. The joint communiqué confirmed the right of the UAE to restore the occupied three islands as well as its sovereignty in its territorial waters. It called for exerting all possible peaceful means for the restoration of the three occupied islands, and hoped that Iran would positively respond with the efforts being exerted by the UAE and the international community to settle the dispute through peaceful means, or to resort to the International Justice Court. --more 1509 Local Time 1209 GMT
