The Chairman of Shoura (Consultative) Council, Sheikh Dr. Saleh Ibn Humaid, denied last night that there is any increase in the number of Shoura council members from 120 to 150. "No official decision has been taken (in this context). These are mere predictions appearing at the end of every term," said Dr. Ibn Humaid at a banquet he hosted in honour of Nabih Barri, the Chairman of the Lebanese Council of Representatives. Dr. Ibn Humaid added that the Shoura Council approved an agreement of free trade between the Arab Gulf Cooperation (GCC) Countries and Lebanon. "Moreover, it is the first of its kind between the GCC and an Arab country." Barri told reporters that his visit came to discuss parliamentary issues and the exchange of experiences. He indicated that many political issues have been discussed and praised the economic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
