Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) is scheduled to organize an international conference that will unveil the latest innovations and technologies in the water desalination field with the participation of the International Desalination Association (IDA), international expertise and specialized companies, to act as a roadmap to create a better future for the desalination industry and improve the quality of life through going on with lowering the production cost of one cubic meter and carbon emissions, in a way that accords with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's plan to reach zero levels of carbon emissions by 2060. The conference, to be held between February 7 and 9 2022 in Jeddah with the participation of experts and specialists from the US, Russia, Brazil, China, Republic of Korea, Japan and India, will discuss the latest innovative solutions and successful experiences in the desalination industry and urge their leaders internationally to keep pace with the accelerating growth of this industry through innovation and development. Global experts and speakers will present 60 scientific papers reflecting the developments made in this industry, in addition to the technological achievements that play a pivotal role in overcoming the challenges of production costs and power consumption. SWCC's Institute for Research and Desalination Technologies will, for the first time, display its innovative technologies, such as the wide-range submersible water desalination unit, which operates through the pressure of seawater column, a system for retrieving energy with an efficiency of more than 98.5%, which is equipped with a design that does not need a pump to enhance saline, among other technologies.
