The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has realized an advanced global ranking according to the results of Global Knowledge Index (GKI) issued by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), ranking ninth globally for 2021 after it was 12th in 2020, 86th in 2019 and 117th in 2018. GKI seeks to provide an access for countries to develop advanced thought strategies in enhancing strong knowledge economies through measuring knowledge at the world level as a comprehensive concept that is closely associated to the sustainable development and various dimensions of modern human life. Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation Dr. Ahmad Al-Fuheid said that this advanced rank is a true reflection of the big support that the corporation receives from the wise leadership and the big efforts exerted by its staff. The corporation has received this rank as a result of the big development it has achieved in aspects related to the vocational and technical programs specialized for post-secondary students, labor force qualifications, human capital, the level of personnel training, and the advanced infrastructure of the technical training. GKI is the only global index that measures knowledge as a comprehensive concept that is closely associated in sustainable developments, and measures knowledge in seven areas, including pre-university education, technical and vocational training, higher education, research, development and innovation, information and communications technology, economy and the general enabling environment.
