The Saudi Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) has risen 31 places up from 117th last year to rank 86th in 2019 in the Global Knowledge Index, and ranked 5th in the Arab world. This shows the improvement of Saudi Arabia rank from 66th in 2018 to 52nd in 2019, reflecting the increase in all subsidiary indexes of Global Knowledge Index 2019. The Global Knowledge Index (GKI) which is a joint initiative between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) aims to show the strategic role of knowledge and measure the multidimensional concept of knowledge. It is worth mentioning that the Saudi technical and vocational training corporation has launched different programs and initiatives to improve training programs to match youths' skills with labor market needs, supported its strategic partnerships with the private sector like Saudi Aramco and increased the capacity of the training facilities.
