King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continued yesterday to combat malaria in the camps for the displaced people in Marib Governorate, Yemen in cooperation with the National Malaria Control Program at the Yemeni Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO). Over six days, the KSrelief implemented the first phase of a campaign to distribute 284,115 mosquito-nets, with the participation of 27 field teams in 170 camps and gatherings for the displaced in Marib, targeting 568,220 individuals. This project comes within the framework of the emergency response implemented by the KSrelief to limit the outbreak and spread of the malaria epidemic in Yemen, by distributing more than 400,000 mosquito-nets to the displaced in a number of governorates.
