King Abdullah II of Jordan received Iraq's neighboring countries foreign ministers on their meeting in Amman today to discuss the situation in Iraq and the efforts exerted to bring about security and stability and pave the way for holding the first post-Saddam general elections in the civil-stricken Arab country. The meeting was attended by the foreign ministers of Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Turkey. Prince Saud Alfaisal, the Foreign Minister, represents the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a press release following the meeting, the king underscored the importance of supporting the efforts aiming at achieving security and stability in Iraq and preserving its integrity, Pan-Arabism and independence.
