Royal directives have been issued to provide urgent relief aid for victims of the earthquake which hit Sumatra Island, Indonesia and victims of other affected countries, a statement issued here today said. The assistance consisted of USD5 million worth of aid supplies including food, tents, medicines and other necessities to be delivered and directly distributed by the Saudi Red Crescent, the statement stated. The assistance also included USD5 million cash aid to be provided through reliable international aid organizations, the statement explained. The statement condoled the families of the dead and urged the international community to provide aid.
