Acting Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs at the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs Awad bin Sabti Al-Enezi, met today in the capital of the Maldive, Malé, with Minister of Islamic Affairs of the Republic of Maldives Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali. The meeting was attended by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to the Maldives, Matrek bin Abdullah Al-Ajalin and a number of officials. During the meeting, the Maldivian minister voiced his country's keenness to enhance cooperation with Saudi Arabia in various fields. He commended the tremendous efforts being exerted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH Crown Prince in the service of Islam and Muslims. For his part, the Saudi undersecretary highlighted the strength of relations between the two countries and the existing cooperation in various fields, praising the joint efforts between the two ministries to activate the terms of a previously signed memorandum of understanding to enhance joint cooperation in spreading the values of moderation. During the meeting, the two sides also discussed a number of issues related to Islamic domains.
