Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, will participate tomorrow in the G20 Research Ministers meeting, will be held in Trieste, Italy. The ministerial meeting aims to link the academic community with continuous digital transformation, improve the link between higher education and the digital economy, enhance the role of university education in managing change in society, and prepare university education institutions to perform their tasks in education, research, and innovation. The meeting will discuss the advancement of digital skills and raising awareness about them in university education, and the promotion of common values in the management of digital technologies, in addition to ensuring the quality of communication and infrastructure within the opportunities for international cooperation provided by digital technologies, and the adoption of the final ministerial statement of research ministers in the G20, 2021.
