The Shoura (Consultative) Council is going to recommend allotting SR2 billion to develop and improve science study by means of research in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Fifty percent of it will be from the government, the other 50 will be through investment companies, Abdullah Al-Shihri, head of the organizing affairs and scientific research committee of the Council told Saudi Gazette. This is a good step for Saudi educational system, (and) it will put the needed lines for the scientific foundations, said Dr.Abdulaziz Abdulmalik, who is associated with the Earth Science College. It will not only be for scientific research, but soon it will include research fields of all kinds. Saudi Arabia is attempting to put a strong effort in developing the scientific side of education by providing it with the national board of scientific research projects. According to Jeddah Bio-City, some research conducted in Saudi Arabia focuses on the scientific side that applies various bio-technical applications into scientific research. This prepares research on environmental evaluations and develops scientific projects that concern the environment.
