Presided over by its Chairman Dr. Salih bin Abdullah bin Humaid, the Shoura Council approved in a session held here today the scientific research draft regulation presented by the Educational Affairs and Scientific Research Committee. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the session, the Council's Secretary General Dr. Homoud bin Abdulaziz Al-Badr said that the most import item of the regulation states that a National Council for Scientific Research shall be formed and be directly associated with the premier in addition to the establishment of a Fund for Financing Scientific Research with a capital, not less than SR 2 billion. He noted that the council discussed other topics on its agenda.
